Keller ISD art programs provide opportunity
Keller ISD‘s Marching Expo provides a great opportunity for Keller ISD students. The September 27th event was the school district’s fourth annual, and drew about 5,000 in attendance according to the Star-Telegram. Proceeds from the event go to the KISD Music Enrichment Program.
Not only does the event benefit student musicians as a whole, but professional musicians are available to instruct students one on one for a $19 fee. These instructors are put through complete background checks before they are able to work with students.
One on one instructors can play a pivotal role in developing a student’s talent. While not every student will be able to afford the one on one instruction, the Marching Expo does offer scholarships. The recent Expo raised excess of $20,000 and that number will be divided between ten schools in Keller ISD.
