Grapevine – Colleyville (GCISD) is a DFW school district that spans across Grapevine, Colleyville and parts of Euless. The district enrolls more than 13,000 students. Grapevine – Colleyville ISD operates 20 campuses, 17 of which are traditional, two of which are alternative, and one of which is virtual. Of the 17 traditional campuses in operation, 11 are elementary schools, four are middle schools, and three are high schools. Due to its exceptional fine arts department, GCISD earned honors in consecutive years from the National Association of Music Merchants Foundation by receiving the Best Communities for Music Education designation. More than 75 percent of students participate in the fine arts program including the theater department which regularly receives honors in the Betty Lynn Buckley Awards program. As of 2014, the tax rate in the district is $1.3201 per $100, according to its website’s budget information.
